Best Study Hall is a start-up concept company dedicated to people becoming more knowledgeable, competent, and their best selves every day, as well as those who teach, train, tutor, or develop educational tools.  Currently, Best Study Hall is a sole proprietor business that will operate as close to a multistakeholder Student, Teacher, and Developers of Education Tools cooperative as is legally possible. 

A cooperative is owned and operated by its users. As soon as a person uses the platform to complete their first transaction they become a member of Best Study Hall. Students, Teachers, and Developers will annually elect one member each to serve on a Board of Advisors. I will act as the chair of this board but will submit to their joint decisions to improve the business. A cooperative does not operate for profit but for the benefit of its members. The website will charge a flat 15% on all transactions. After the cost of transferring funds between members, most of that revenue will go directly into advertising to grow our business and improve the platform according to your choices limited only by fiscal, technological, legal, or software limitations.

Once the business model is proven successful, I will legally transition the business over to a proper cooperative. Once a cooperative is successful, it has more useful possibilities for its members than a company.

I cannot think of a better model for all three interested parties to seize control of the entire education process by simply making it the best for all the people involved. Make our content and curricula so advanced that brick and mortar schools turn to our cooperative.
